The National Institute of Food and Drug Surveillance (“INVIMA”) issued Resolution 2024001339 on January 15th, 2024, which establishes the Manual of Functions and Job Competencies that updates the requirements for positions of freely appointed and removable managerial and advisory level.
On the other hand, on January 20th, 2024, INVIMA published Resolution 2024003137, which adjusts internal work groups. The “Legal” and “Administrative Support” groups were eliminated from the Directorate of Drugs and Biological Products. Additionally, maritime terminals and river crossings were incorporated into the “Control at Ports, Airports, and Border Crossings” group of the Directorate of Sanitary Operations, specifically those located in Turbo, Tolú, Alta Guajira, Inírida, and Puerto Carreño.
Therefore, with the changes made in INVIMA, and after a year and a half without a director on property, the attention is focused on the formal appointment of the new director of the entity.
