On 9 May 2019, the Argentinian Patent Office issued Decree 353 of 2019,in which regulation of Decree-Law No. 6673/63 on registration of industrial models and designs was approved.
Decree 353 regulates issues such as the possibility of waiving property rights on industrial models and designs via declaration, the adoption of the Locarno Agreement for the classification of industrial designs, the renewal of the right, and the possibility of converting a patent or utility model application in an industrial design, within 30 days after the filing of an objection to the patentability of an invention.
