Transformative changes were approved at the Governors’ Assemblies of the IDB and IDB Invest to increase the impact of the IDB Group in Latin America and the Caribbean. US$3.5 billion were allocated for IDB Invest and an additional US$400 million for IDB Lab, promoting a new business model focused on private sector development and innovation. The new Institutional Strategy of the IDB Group sets key objectives for 2024-2030, focusing on reducing poverty, addressing climate change, and promoting sustainable growth. Additionally, internal reforms will be implemented to strengthen the culture of impact and effectiveness in development.
These measures, led by IDB President Ilan Goldfajn, aim to transform the region, and consolidate the IDB Group as the primary source of development financing in the region, promoting innovative financial solutions and more inclusive growth. In this way, it is expected that these actions will significantly drive progress and quality of life in the region.
