Colombia: The Colombian Constitutional Court to hold an open hearing to debate freedom of speech in social media

The Constitutional Court has set date (28 February 2019) to debate to debate freedom of speech in social media.

It’s relevant to mention that the Interamerican Press Society (SIP) requested the Court bear in mind the “Salta Declaration”, a document regarding freedom of speech, signed by the directors of the most important Latin-American newspapers.

Additionally, the Court has subpoenaed   the legal representatives of Facebook, Google and Youtube, due to the fact that these companies may be accountable as owners of the platforms and responsible for personal data treatment.
