Her professional career began in a renowned law firm in Colombia, where she was part of the Probono and Corporate teams. Afterwards, she worked at one of the Colombian leading financial private organizations on the structuring and negotiation of commercial contracts and the regulatory analysis of the stock market
She joined OlarteMoure in 2014 as an associate for the Trademarks, Antitrust & Unfair Competition and Corporate teams, assuming the leadership of several high-impact projects associated with the protection of intangible assets, free competition defense and corporate legal assistance. In 2016, and for 4 years, she assumed the leading role for the Corporate Law practice, where she stood out for successfully coming up with effective legal solutions for the structuring, monitoring and closure of several business projects. With an extensive expertise on the matter, Daniela structured and led the Data Privacy practice of the firm for two years, giving legal advice to clients in the design of creative strategies for data processing, converting privacy risks into business opportunities
Daniela was named as our Business Development Manager at the beginning of 2022. Her job focuses on strategic business and marketing planning and management for fostering strong and good relationships with current clients and regional and worldwide allies. She helps promoting services, identifying new opportunities in the local and international market and acquire and retain a wide range of clientele. She actively contributes to the engagement with business and legal associations, content planning and production of thoughtful pitches, conferences and events.
She is currently a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and Co-chair for the Colombian IAPP KnowledgeNet Chapter; member of the Data Privacy Working Committee of the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property; and member of the Steering Committee of the Colombian Data Privacy Association (ADAPRI). Daniela is an author of various articles on Data Protection, Compliance and Corporate Law and frequently speaker and guest professor at local and foreign scenarios involving privacy and data strategic management matters.
