The U.S Patent and Trademark Office USPTO issued the 2019 Revised Patent Subject Matter Eligibility Guidance. This Guidance evaluate the eligibility of patent claims.
The new guide: i) supersedes the “Eligibility Quick Reference Sheet Identifying Abstract Ideas” from the USPTO; and, ii) provides grouping of key concepts that courts have found to be abstract, hence claims reciting matter that does not fall within these groups is not abstract.
