Eddie received his BSc. In Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Medellin, Colombia) in 2008, and he specialised in Technology Innovation Management from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (Medellin, Colombia) in 2014. In 2021, he received his J.D. from Institución Universitaria Politécnico Gran Colombiano (Medellin, Colombia)

His university and professional experience include the design and assembly of equipment for the mining and agro-industrial sector, the management of physical infrastructure, electrical networks, equipment and gas networks for laboratories and in the design of mechanical power transmission systems. Eddie began his practice in the patent area of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where he participated in patent drafting, intellectual property management, and processes related to technology management and transfer.

He joined OlarteMoure in 2013 as technical associate for patent search, patentability analysis, patent drafting and patent prosecution. In 2016, he assumed the coordination of search and competitive intelligence area.
