Cristina is a lawyer from Universidad del Rosario with a specialization in Commercial Law and a Master’s Degree in Private Law from Universidad de Los Andes.
She has spent most of her professional career at the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, where she started as a lawyer of the Consumer Protection Delegation, later she was part of the International Affairs Group, where she became the Head of International Affairs of the Entity. Her experience in international cooperation and inter-institutional relations allowed her to strengthen the SIC’s cooperation ties with international counterparts as well as her participation and leadership in organizations such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Global Privacy Assembly and the World Intellectual Property Organization, among others.

Later she had the opportunity to lead the Delegation for Data Protection as the Colombian Data Protection Authority in charge of monitoring and ensuring compliance with the principles, rights and duties in the processing of personal data in Colombia where she was able to participate in the main discussions and global trends in regulatory matters of personal data protection. Cristina is currently a member of the Colombian Data and Privacy Association (ADAPRI). She joined the OlarteMoure team in May 2023 as Coordinator of the Privacy and Personal Data area.
