Adrian received his degree as electronic engineer from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (Medellín, Colombia) in 2002. He specialised in technological Innovation management and later he studied for a master’s degree in technology management at the same university.

He was the head researcher in a microelectronic research group and was part of various automatic group activities and control A+D from the UPB.

He has been a professor of the following professorships “Taller de electrónica”, “Circuitos electrónicos l” and “Sistemas y Señales l”. In a postgraduate level, he has also been a professor in “estructuras y estrategias de innovación”, which is part of a specialisation of innovation at the UPB. He is also frequently invited by entities like PARQUE E and Universities like the CES to be part of the panelists in conferences and teach classes like Catedra Jorge Cárdenas Nannetti organized by the Economic Sciences Faculty of the Universidad de Antioquia in the field of Technological Science and Innovation.

He was the chief of the Unidad de Gestión Tecnología e Innovación (OTT- OTRI) in the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (UN) Sede Medellín for four years, where he designed the technological management area with a strategic approach, creating the area of technological management and implementing documented processes following quality standards. In this unit he managed issues such as the protection of I+D at the university (through patents and other intellectual property titles), priority research, drafting and preparation of patent applications, structuring of technology watch, foresight and competitive intelligence reports to support I+D contracting with companies and other social agents. Likewise, he helped lead part of the regulations and agreements involving knowledge transferring and intellectual property for the academic extension.

He has been invited to participate as an expert in patents in international advanced level formation courses in the IMPI – Instituto Mexicano de la Propiedad Industrial – México, INPI Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial- Brasil, OEPM-Oficina Española de Patentes y Marcas, OAMI – La Oficina de Armonización del Mercado Interior (trademark, designs and European Union Models).

In 2013 he joined OlarteMoure where he coordinates the patent drafting areas and lends out its services in the preparation of patent applications in the electrical and electronics field, besides he is also involved in Innovation projects.
