The Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) recently recognized Colombia’s adequate level of protection for personal data. More precisely, the DIFC acknowledged that Colombia’s regulations meet the requirements set in its own domestic data protection regime.
Consequently, when sent to Colombia, all personal data transfer and transmission operations originating from Dubai will have equivalent protection.
Colombia’s advanced regulatory data protection regime is therefore recognized and companies that have implemented data protection compliance programs can generate greater confidence when establishing international trade relations.
