Merck, a German science and technology company, announced the grant of U.S. Patent No. 10.193.695.
The patent relates to the creation of ‘crypto-objects’, an innovative security procedure linking Artificial Intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology. This new technology uses automatic learning through their unique identifiers to link physical objects to a blockchain.
The patented technology makes possible a way to combine identification processes previously established, for example barcode scanners or mass spectrometry, with blockchain and machine-learning technologies. This provides security to businesses and their products by providing a novel tracking method of their supply chain.
