Juan worked as a lawyer at the Bogota Investment Promotion Agency “Invest in Bogota” gaining experience in foreign investment projects in sectors such as technology, services, manufacturing, creative industries, life sciences and entrepreneurship. Prior to this, he worked at the Colombian Investment Promotion Agency “ProColombia” as a legal advisor gaining experience with foreign investors in Colombia.

In 2019 he founded Human Leap, a startup focused on providing general services on blockchain and smart contract design. Juan also has experience in tax benefits in LATAM especially with Free Trade Zone regimes supporting international companies to start operations and receive benefits through this regime. He has been a member of the Investment and Trade Policy Commission and the Intellectual Property Commission at the International Chamber of Commerce “ICC” – Colombia Chapter. He joined the IP&T area and the Asia Office of OlarteMoure in April 2021.
