Gonzalo Carreno Gonzalez is attorney from the University of los Andes (Bogota, Colombia), currently completing a master’s degree in Intellectual Property at the same university. Has taken the advanced courses on Fundamental Aspects in the Drafting of Patent Applications and Intellectual Property Management at WIPO and belonged to the Group of Studies on Competition Law and Industrial Property (Gedcop) of the University of los Andes where made reports of the judgments of the Delegation of Jurisdictional Affairs of the Industrial Property Office, together with his team and from this work a book was developed and is currently being edited.
Is interested in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and, having taken complementary courses and by participating in the first Uniandes Negotiation Challenge (RNU), has developed skills related to this field. Started his professional career as legal advisor at the High Technology Defense Corporation (CODALTEC) supporting the Air Force and the Ministry of National Defense in matters related to the protection of their intellectual property. Subsequently, joined ClarkeModet Colombia as a trademark and patent attorney where was mentioned in the Leader Leagues ranking (2020) as a leader in the field of patents.
