12 March, 2019

On 22 February 2019, the Peruvian Competition Office issued a bulletin reporting that the Peruvian Mass Transport Workers Union and the Consumers Association will request compensation in consequence to the overpayment of vehicle natural gas. The price hike sprung from agreements made by several companies.

On account of the collusion, the regulatory entity fined the cartel companies in excess of USD 138,223,258, as well as USD 513,604 to the 29 officials involved in the case.
