According to the Colombian Tax Statute, companies engaged in direct Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I) activities may be eligible for tax breaks, provided that the earnings are derived from resources specifically earmarked for these projects.
The Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation has announced the call for applications to access this benefit. Companies that have science, technology, and innovation projects and were planned for execution in 2022, whether co-financed with public resources or not, are eligible to apply.
Those who wish to submit their applications must pre-register on the website of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation until May 17, 2023 by 17:00 COT.
