Starting 30 January until 1 March 2019, the Colombian Office of Regulatory Affairs (SIC)will post two projects related to the regulation of metrology in Colombia. These projects add chapters ten and eleven in Section VI “Legal Metrology” of the SIC Official Publication.
The draft resolution that adds chapter ten regulates technical metrological norms applicable to cold and hot drinking water meters used in public utilities.
The draft resolution that adds chapter eleven regulates technical metrological norms applicable to power meters that are used in residential power utilities. Both draft resolutions aim to ensure the quality of the measurements provided by this type of instrument.
