On 31 January 2019, the Colombian Competition Office (SIC) sanctioned PROYECTAR INGENIERÍA S.A.S. and DESARROLLAMOS INGENIERIAS S.A.S. for collusion in a bidding process in 2013.
The companies maintained a prolonged relationship of coordinated collaboration, conduct that violates free competition.
As a result, a USD 244,250.51 fine was imposed on PROYECTAR INGENIERÍA S.A.S. and USD 65,400.41 on DESARROLLAMOS INGENIERÍA LTDA. Individuals were also sanctioned for collaborating, facilitating, authorizing, executing and/or tolerating said anticompetitive conduct for amounts up to USD 24,024.64.
